BackVan Mahotsava and Kisan Goshti on the occasion of Farm Innovators' day

 Van Mahotsava and Kisan Gosthi were organized at CSWRI Avikanagar on 07-09-2013 on the occasion of Farm Innovators Day. Sh. Davender Kumar, Director (Finance), ICAR head quarter, graced the occasion as Chief Guest and Dr. S.M.K. Naqvi, Director, CSWRI presided over the events. About sixty sheep farmers participated in the programme along with the Scientists and Staff of the Institute. Van Mahotsav was celebrated with plantation of fodder trees by the dignitaries, farmers, scientists and staff in the institute campus. Fodder tree saplings were also distributed to famers who participated in the Van Mahotasava. Van mahotasav was followed by Kisan Gosthi, in which farmers interacted with scientists regarding various problems emerging in the field. Some progressive farmers shared their success stories sketched under the guidance of CSWRI. Speaking on the occasion, Director CSWRI expressed his pleasure towards the enthusiasm and cooperation shown by the farmers towards adoption of new technologies disseminated by the institute and appreciated the progress of institute farmer participatory programme. The chief guest appreciated the research-extension-farmer linkage of the institute. The programme was organized by the division of TOT&SS in collaboration with GFA, Farm and Horticulture section.
