BackSwachhta Abhiyan

Swachhata Abhiyan” initiated at CSWRI Avikanagar

Responding to the Nation’s call by the Hon'ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi, CSWRI Avikanagar has taken the lead in launching the ‘Swachhata Abhiyan’ in the campus from 25th September to 2nd October, 2014. The mission is being launched on the concept of Mahatma Gandhi’s vision, “Sanitation is more important than independence”

The Abhiyan was formally initiated by Director of the Institute, Dr. S. M. K. Naqvi on 25.09.2014 at 8.30 AM at the Goat Unit. Dr. Naqvi said that this abhiyan shall continue forever even after we celebrate the week and such activities help to make the environment clean and keep us healthy. Director constituted a committee to conduct and co-ordinate the programme of cleanliness for this week under the chairmanship of Dr. Arun Kumar, Head AG&B Division. An appeal has been made to keep the office and colony premises clean to avoid incidences of diseases. The committee constituted has been given a responsibility to start a campaign for cleanliness across all the places in institute such as Dispensary, Sectors, School, Colony, Offices and Labs, etc. It was also felt necessary to start the awareness campaign for students as well as adults so that importance of cleanliness is understood in relation to occurrence of diseases and mental and physical health. The formal function of inauguration ended with cleanliness drive at Goat Unit by Director, Head of the Divisions, In-Charges and other staff. Dr. A. K. Patel, In-Charge ARC Bikaner was also present on the occasion. After the cleanliness drive, tree plantation programme was also organised at the same venue.
